1/144 Abyss Gundam custom build WIP #2

Hey guys, It's been awhile since I last updated my blog, haven't been doing much of gunpla recently. Just an update on my Abyss Gundam custom build. Added some stuff, did more putty cleaning, added some plaplates and panel scribing for detail. Just some minor additions to fill in gaps and and also added some stuff to give more details.

For the backfeet, I had to add some plaplates to fill in the gaps around the original abyss feet.  Then I added some putty to clean up the seamlines that seem to be stubborn and hard to remove using your standard mr.cement technique. All that's left is just to sand and prime for inspection.

Well for the aft cannons, since the white parts sandwich themselves to the blue parts. I had to cut off the pegs that goes into the holes of the blue parts and made it fit in just by sliding the white parts into the blue parts and making them hold by friction. Added some scopes on each side of the blue parts of the cannons, need to redo the putty to make it smoother, Prime and ready for inspection before going to paint.
Added some plapltes and some MS panels for detailing on the chest parts. All that is remaining is to inspect with primer before heading to paint. Would also need to clean up the lower parts of the pegs since there is a nasty seam line there.

Head parts, some more added items there. Since this kit has a CIWS in the V fin of the original kit and since I am not using the original V fin head, I decided to use some parts from the old HG serpent from Gundam wing OVA series. Made it more wider unintentionally but so far I test it with the torso and it does not hinder head articulation.

Pretty much this kit is nearly done and all that is left is to do a primer inspection for the whole kit and if it is ready I will continue with painting this kit. I decided not to touch the arms much since it actually affects the transformation to MA mode, I tried with other HG kit arms, some of them will hinder it from closing it correctly. I'll probably show some finally semi built pics of this and some other mods. I have also decided to the color scheme for this kit, will show it the paints I'll be using for this next time. So, See you guys next time.
